History of Mohali Stadium:
The Punjab Cricket Association Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium (formerly known as PCA Stadium) is a Cricket ground located in Mohali, Chandigarh. It is popularly referred to as the Mohali Stadium and this stadium was inaugurated in the year 1993 on 22 November.
The stadium is a truly world-class venue with excellent practice facilities, spectator-friendly stands and provisions for the media.
In 2015 the PCA Stadium was renamed after Bindra as Punjab Cricket Association Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium.
The floodlights here are unconventional compared to other cricket stadiums, are the light pillars are very low in height because of the nearby Chandigarh airport. Hence the stadium has 16 floodlights to provide adequate light for the day & night matches played at this venue.
The stadium has an official capacity of 27,000 spectators and has hosted 4 world cup matches. First cricket world cup match was hosted at the ground in 1996.
Mohali stadium is home ground for Indian Cricket Team, Punjab cricket team and Punjab Kings.

Mohali Ground – Pitch Report
The pitch at Mohali had the reputation of being the liveliest in the country and often has green pitches and pitches of this kind prove to be very useful for fast bowlers.
